Let’s celebrate April by taking part in some of Savannah’s great local events. Here is a list of some of the hottest happenings around town this month. Don’t forget your mask, have fun and stay safe!
The Historic Savannah Theatre presents Legends Live – April 9 through May 30, times vary
Take a journey through the decades of timeless music as the international singing group, LEGACY pays tribute to some of the most iconic legends of all time. From The Beatles to Bruno Mars and The Four Seasons to Earth Wind & Fire, this show is jam packed with hits leaving you dancing in the audience! Get tickets here.
Experience the historic atmosphere of the Davenport House while learning about and tasting a unique and flavorful wine. Patrons are oriented to the long and rich tradition of Madeira (wine) as it relates to the history of Savannah and then they will participate in a Madeira party. During the experience they will sample two types of Madeira and see the historic house at dusk including spaces usually off-limits to museum guests. The performance requires that guests be able to walk up and down stairs and maneuver in the candlelit rooms. Price is $22 and limited to 10 guests.
Herd It Here Farm Grand Opening Celebration – April 17, 10am-6pm
Alpaca the family and make a short 1.5 hour drive to the farm in Cottageville, SC where you will be introduced to all of their four-legged family. Meet Alpacas up close and personal (you’ve never felt anything this soft!), feed their fainting goats (be careful, they scare easy) and meet the beautiful Silkie chickens! They will also have educational presentations about all the animals, goat-yoga, and other demonstrations on felting and spinning luxurious alpaca fiber. On the farm you can visit their gift shop and check out alpaca gloves, scarves and other clothing available for purchase.
Activities for the kids will include face painting, balloon twisting, arts and crafts and lots of open space! Grab a bite from one of the food truck vendors: MacDaddy, Stuffed Charleston and Mora Ice Cream (vegan options available). And possibly most important…don’t forget to stop by the alpaca selfie booth for a picture to remember your visit. Purchase tickets here

Terrarium Workshop by Simply Potted at Southbound Brewing – April 17, 1pm-5pm (SOLD OUT)
There will be two separate classes: – one starting at 1 pm and one starting at 3 pm. There are only 10 spots left, so sign up quick! Tickets are: $35 each. One ticket gets you all the supplies you need (terrarium, tools, plants, etc) plus one pint of a beer of your choice! Opening near Forsyth Park in June, The Haunt will serve “wild crafted foods” made with local ingredients. The Haunt will serve unique and delicious food, and will have a vast drink menu featuring hand-crafted cocktails and local beer. Come get an exclusive taste and meet the team over a month before The Haunt’s grand opening! Featuring hors d’oeuvre and 3 courses, prepared live. The chef will share his process and inspiration along the way, allowing guests to be immersed in the delicious menu. Also featuring live music and photo opportunities. They’ve decided to make their community Sunset Yoga Class extra special for Thursday, April 22 which is Earth Day! Come celebrate mother earth with them as they show gratitude by picking up litter off of her beaches followed by a grounding yoga class and then a silent disco dance party in the sand!!
🌎 6:00 PM – meet in the Chatham Avenue parking lot where FIGHT DIRTY TYBEE will be supplying us with the tools we need for our beach sweep. We will walk roughly 30 minutes to the pier and then 30 minutes back to mermaid point.
🧘🏽♀️7:00 PM – meet back at the southern most point of the island “Mermaid Point” for a beginner friendly yoga class by Tybee Yoga and Healing Arts on the beach.
🎧 8:00 PM – the dance party begins! Silent Disco Savannah will be providing us with headphones so we can have a dance party in the sand without the noise pollution!

New month, new moon, new goals, new beers! Join them on April 22nd for Service Brewing’s Run Club kick off on Earth Day with Big Bon Pizza. Join the club… $5 gets you in as an official Run Club member for the year. Every Thursday at 6:30pm the club meets at Service Brewing. Be sure to check in with a Service staff member to get your run logged for the week. Each time you show up, you’ll get a Run Club point that goes towards some pretty rad prizes. So show up with your running shoes, log your run with a Service Staff member, choose from 3 varying routes and distances or make up your own…you do you. Run, (or walk) win rewards, and drink beer! 1 mile, 2 mile and 3 mile routes will be available for participants.
Big Bon Pizza will be slinging pizza from 5:30-8:30pm to help celebrate our first Club Members. Every week we’ll have rotating food trucks along with some happy hour specials.
Forsyth Farmers Market hosts Farm Picnic 2021 – April 25, 4:00pm-6:00pm
This year’s event will be a take-out affair on April 25th at their office in Thunderbolt (just off Victory Dr., behind Wesley Oak United Methodist Church). You will be able to grab your plate and take a look at their silent auction items. Staff and board member will be available to tell you more about our programs and how we are serving the community. The silent auction is going to be online this year and we have an awesome selection including: staycations, exciting tours, unique excursions, fitness packages, spa treatments, art, food and more! Online bidding goes from April 1st to April 25th. All proceeds from Farm Picnic go directly to FFM. Due to Covid-19, they weren’t able to hold their annual Farmsgiving events last fall. The loss of even ONE fundraising event makes their budget very tight. We need your help to make this event a success! Tickets can be purchased here
The first nomadic boutique fair exclusively dedicated to collectible design. After successful events in Shanghai, Paris, and Moscow, Unique Design X Group is proud to present the first US event! Join Unique Design x Savannah! April 28th – May 2nd @ Trustees’ Garden. Unique Design X Savannah is a commercial boutique design fair for the promotion of collectible design furniture and its community of creators and their representative galleries. This show will display a selection of work by 18 artists, architects and designers from around the world who create “collectible design”, collectible-worthy objects which function as furniture. A multi-disciplinary form of creativity, collectible design reimagines the idea of furnishing contemporary spaces with functional art. Admission is $10 for the general public; free for students and seniors.
