If you’ve traveled down the south end of MLK recently you may have noticed some surprising activity at 409 Orchard Street. In an area that doesn’t have much to offer for entertainment, Douglas Kauffman is on a mission to change that by enticing hungry customers and luring Savannahians with a fun, relaxing and engaging food truck court. Mr. Kauffman has been a general contractor in the Savannah area for 20+ years. 3 Points Food Court is his brainchild and will be opening in January 2021. The name was derived from the three neighborhoods, Bingville, Cann Park & Jackson Park, 3 Points is where these neighborhoods come together.

When Mr. Kauffman purchased this property he wanted to bring something that would be a great addition to the area and community. He immediately had a vision of this food truck park as a family-friendly atmosphere where community can come together. The plan is to host food trucks, local bands, have space for merchants to host pop-up events, school events, farmer’s markets, and even a stage for performances.  Another piece of good news…the space will also be available for private parties and charity events.

The court offers tables with umbrellas, great lighting, bathrooms and yard games all within a fenced area. Three points will be BYOB at certain times throughout the week and special events. They have policies in place to deter underage consumption.

The anticipated grand opening for 3 Points will be on January 16, 2021 and will be a 7 day a week operation. However, you can sneak-a-peek by attending their non-profit event raising money for Savannah Feed the Hungry on December 19th from 11:00am to 9:00pm. And amazing event which provides meals & toys for Savannah families in need, helping everyone have happy holidays. Be one of the first to enjoy this outdoor activity, check out the space, grab some food and don’t forget to bring a toy.
