Reflexology is a type of massage that involves applying different amounts of pressure to the feet, hands and ears. It’s based on a theory that these body parts are connected to certain organs and body systems. People who practice this technique are called Reflexologists. If you are curious about reflexology and what benefits you can gain from it, then read below for an inspirational story and a few fun facts about Connie Butsko, local Reflexologist. If you would like to meet Connie and reap the benefits of reflexology then contact Virgo Apothecary or Square Site to book an appointment.

Connie is originally from the Midwest and grew up on a farm in Minnesota. After spending her adventurous twenties in Southern California, she relocated in 1993 to Savannah. Connie has always had an interest in health, travel and the outdoors, but life took a surprising turn in December of 2017, when she was shockingly diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. This was a wake up call for an even greater search for optimal health. She declined the conventional standard of care and chose an alternative holistic healing journey. She traveled outside the country for alternative breast cancer treatment and spent over 2 months in Mexico. Through a combination of 3 trips, lots of research and at-home protocols to reach the status of being a breast cancer “thriver” and currently cancer free! She believes God has created the body to self-heal, when given the right tools. Reflexology played a part in the healing and self-care journey. So much so, she went back to obtain her Master Certification in Reflexology and continues to be a life-long learner through other Advanced Courses and Workshops throughout the U.S.

Connie loves meeting new people and helping others in their own self-care and healing journey through Reflexology therapy.
