The Peddler Trike is a unique concept by owner Jennifer Maldonado. It is an actual trike that you can hire to add a special touch to any event such as weddings, product launches, staff parties, grand openings, festivals, birthday parties and more. The trike can be used to serve popcorn with a variety of flavors, seasonal drinks or can be customized to include your special theme or idea. Jennifer knew the “trike life” was for her when she saw the Facebook ad and immediately drove 4 hours to Florida to secure the purchase. Even though she didn’t have the full vision of what the trike would become, she knew without a doubt that it was the right move. Today the trike is fully renovated and ready to pedal into your next party and make it a sensation. Read below to find out how to book The Peddler Trike for your next gathering, some of the cool offerings and a bit about the visionary herself, Jennifer Maldonado.

How do people best utilize the cool concept of The Peddler Trike?

Truly, the best way to utilize my trike is to have a great spot for me to set up! I bring all the seasonal decor and lights needed for each event, but the set up looks best when the background is clear and open or lush and green. Spring colors really make the trike pop. I also love adding small touches and working with the theme of their event. It makes the aesthetic feel more collaborative and tied into the reason for the celebration.

Please let us know some of the different themes, snacks and beverages that are offered?

Can you tell us about your favorite Pedder Trike experience so far?

It’s hard to pull them apart because I’ve met a lot of great people along my way, but the best time so far was right here in Savannah at De Soto Street Market events in Starland Yard. There was a DJ mixing new and classics together, with Two Tides serving amazing beer slushies, and I’m always stationed right in front of Superbloom so I can run in and get a delicious superfood latte during my break to keep me dancing. I nearly forgot I was working!

What do you love about Savannah?

I grew up in Hinesville not too far from Savannah so I’ve come here since I was a child, but coming back to Savannah as an adult and more importantly as a business owner, you come to appreciate the community more than anything else. The people are supportive and care about what they consume and where it’s sourced, and when you need them, they show up. The Front Porch Improv community is especially dear to my heart as they embrace such unique individuals and perspectives and welcome you with open arms into their world. So, the best part of Savannah is the people, hands down.

What makes you feel most accomplished?

I feel most accomplished when my family sees what I have done. Growing up, I had no idea what I wanted to do and I felt lost in expectations. I’m not afraid to admit anymore that it followed me long into my college years as well. Honestly, with the help of my friends, I was able to take a chance on something that felt right in the moment. My family and friends truly encourage my creativity and motivation. Now, when my parents ask me ‘what’s next,’ I find myself smirking and telling them with excitement, ‘just wait and see.’ It’s funny how that happens.

If you only had one night to spend in Savannah…what would you do?

Dinner at Bella Napoli’s inhaling their Fettuccine Alle Vongole, a show at Front Porch Improv, back at Chazito’s food truck in Starland Yard (fingers crossed that it would be there that night), then having a late-night fancy cocktail anywhere along Riverstreet. Ahh, heaven.
