Let’s celebrate March by taking part in some of Savannah’s great local events. Here is a list of some of the hottest happenings around town this month. Don’t forget your mask, have fun and stay safe!

Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation in Brunswick 2021 Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt from March 3rd to  April 30th (times vary)

2021 Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt at Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation! This year due to Covid restrictions they are going to do things a little different for their annual Easter Egg Hunt. They will have a 2-month long Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt instead of a 1-day event. The hunts will be from March 3rd – April 30th on Wednesdays – Sunday from 10:00AM – 4:00PM. Guests will arrive and pay admission (Ages 18 – 61 $8.00, 62+ $7.00, 6 – 17 $5.00 and under 6 are FREE) guests will be given a Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt Map & Instructions, you will follow the instructions using the map for clues to answer the secret saying and then received a prize bag filled with toy filled Easter Eggs & more prizes. Guests can receive an EXTRA PRIZE for taking a selfie at one of the clue locations! This event is for the ENTIRE FAMILY and all ages. Come out and enjoy the open spaces, have fun & tour the Plantation.

Tried & True a Classic Cocktail Class by Dining with Rhett on March 24th from 6:30pm to 8:00pm

Led by head bartender Connor Gilette, this interactive cocktail class will educate our attendees on the fundamentals of how to create the perfect classic cocktails, stirred, shaken and built in glass. Taking place in their Rhett Private Dining room, enjoy creating a Martini, Gimlet and Old Fashioned all while nibbling on an individual charcuterie and cheese platter. Connor will also share the history of cocktails and Savannah’s cocktail scene history. PLUS, the fun doesn’t stop there, you will be able to practice these cocktails at home as you will receive a cocktail kit to take home that includes a bar jigger, shaker tins, cocktail strainer, bar spoon, and mixing glass. Tickets are $99 per person.

Painting for Paws in support of Humane Society with Ashley Wilson on March 27th at 10:00am to 12:00pm (SOLD OUT)

Join them in the Garden for a painting class with Artist Ashley Wilson who is the creative behind Logan Artisan. They will also be serving tea and light refreshments. Get inspired by the beauty you will be surrounded by. Tickets are $35 and include: all supplies, expert art teacher, tea, refreshments and photographer. March 27th 10am-12pm hosted by the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens at the Historic Bamboo Farm (2 Canebrake Rd). 100% of funds raised will be donated back to the Humane Society For Greater Savannah.

Hop Atomica Kimchi & Sauerkraut Class on March 27th starting at 10:00am

Lean to make your own kimchi and sauerkraut. Includes a fermentation kit, 2 beers, your first ingredients, and allll the knowledge!  Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased here.

Georgia State Railroad Museum hosts Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 27th from 10 am to 1pm

Georgia State Railroad Museum is a large, open-air historic site with plenty of space for safe social distancing. Staff and volunteers handing out treats will be positioned throughout the outdoor museum. Blacksmith demonstrations by Coastal Heritage Society will occur throughout the day as well as a special egg woodturning demonstration by Lowcountry Turners.
The cost to attend Eggstravaganza is $5 per person for all participants, ages eighteen months and older. Pre-registration is required at http://bit.ly/EggstravaganzaGSRM. Two Tides Brewing and Superbloom present De Soto Street Market on March 27th from 11:00am to 6:00pm

New year, new market! They are bringin’ back the 𝗗𝗘 𝗦𝗢𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗘𝗧 on Saturday, March 27th, 11am-6pm. They have  𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗨𝗩𝗔 vendor line-up and our neighbors at Starland Strange will be participating with even more vendors over at their place as well. You don’t want to miss this chance to shop small.
