This year, like all others, we want food to offer us comfort, escape and joy. That is why, Savannah is so excited for the new Peach Cobbler Factory opening at 51 Barnard Street right off of Broughton. The local couple responsible for peach cobbler, banana pudding and cinnamon rolls is a husband and wife team that fell in love with Savannah and wanted to be a part of the community. Bruce has over 26 years serving our country with the NC Army National Guard and the US Coast Guard and Amy has been active duty in the Coast Guard for over 17 years. They will officially open their doors on Friday, January 14th at 12:00pm and look forward to creating a place for everyone in the community to enjoy.
How would you describe the vibe at PCF?
We are all about love, positivity, and fun. From our music, decor, and merchandise we want to just make people happy and affirm self worth, community, and of course good desserts.
What are some of the items on the menu at PCF?
Our most popular item of course is our peach cobbler with ice cream, my personal favorite is our Oreo banana pudding which is layer of Oreo and our original banana pudding. Our most original dessert is our cobbler stuffed cinnamon roll. It’s really the best of all worlds when you add a scoop of ice cream. We also bottle our own sweet peach tea that we will make fresh everyday. It’s made with real peach and strawberry purées.
Can people order online or ahead of time or is it counter service only? Is there seating available?
We will be available for pick up and delivery through almost all of the most popular apps like door dash and Uber eats. We do have limited indoor and outdoor seating. We are a walk up counter.
What sets Peach Cobbler Factory apart?
We concentrate on 3 desserts that everyone loves. Younger customers love the unique flavors and our selfie stations, older customers love our classics that remind them of their child hood. Everything we do we do with love, positivity, and always look to the community and our employees to learn how we can be even better at serving their needs.
What is your favorite dessert offered on the menu and why?
I mentioned the Oreo pudding above but I will never ever turn down our peach cobbler. It really is divine.
Are you able to accommodate vegan, gluten free and other dietary requests?
Our only items that are vegan or dairy free is any of our cobblers that don’t have additional toppings like pralines and no ice cream. If we get enough requests to not waste food we will look at converting some of our items to gluten free. We plan to keep track of those requests so if someone comes in please ask so we can see how many people would buy those products.
What makes you feel most accomplished?
Knowing that we have created a place for everyone in our community to enjoy. I also LOVE the fact that we have hired 5 young women to work with us who have amazing futures ahead of them and they love our concept as well. Giving them a space to flourish learn about leadership, team work, and empowering them to have a voice in our day to day business (I’m going to turn over our tik tok to them) is the best feeling in the world for me.
