Scout has put together some ideas for holiday date nights. The most festive, fur-lined, warm and fuzzy things Savannah has to offer. So next time you pitch date night…you won’t get a frosty reception.
The Noel Date
N=Night Market – Check out ScoutSavannah.com to find out where @makersmarketsavannah or _madebymakers are setting up shop. See which event works with your schedule. Pick local Christmas gifts from area artisans and make a big impression on family and friends.
O=Ordinary Pub – After you have worked up an appetite grab some grub at Ordinary Pub. Share some loaded pub fries and pork belly and bourbon sliders. Take a stroll after dinner to check out the Savannah Christmas Tree at Broughton and Bull.
E=Escape Room – For the entertainment part of the night go check out The Escape Company in the same area and choose one of four different rooms for your adventure.
L=Leaf Peeper and Live Music – End your date night with a “Leaf Peeper” at Starland Yard and some live music from some great artists that call Savannah home.
The Jolly Night
J=Java – Stop by Mirabelle at 313 Abercorn Street (closes at 4pm weekdays and 5pm weekends) and grab a Peppermint Mocha with their homemade chocolate and mint syrups paired with espresso and milk.
O=Observe – Walk across the street to The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist to check out the holiday decor and listen for the bells.
L=Lunch – Continue your stroll while enjoying the holiday decor to Fox & Fig Cafe where you can indulge in some plant based specialties while sitting outside enjoying the peace and quiet.
L=Low House – If you haven’t toured any of Savannah’s Historic homes now is your chance to see The Andrew Low House in all it’s glory decked out for the holidays.
Y=Yes – End your date by each getting to suggest one more activity and your partner can only say “yes”.
M=Movies – Attend one of the many venues around town to catch a holiday movie, The Lucas Theatre, Tybee Post, Two Tides and Starland Yard (Wednesdays) all have festive showings set up throughout the weekend. Check out ScoutSavannah.com for our weekend list of what dates, times and movies are being shown.
E=Extreme – Take your date to the extreme by throwing some axes at Blade & Bull. Double points if you drink a Southbound “Eye of the World” while doing it!
R=Random Act of Kindness – Take part in one of the many Savannah acts of kindness available this holiday: thebigsavannahtoydrive.com, holiday hope, Savannah Feed the Hungry, safeshelter1 and there are many more.
R=Roof Top Bar – While you are riding that warm and fuzzy feeling of giving then head up to one of Savannah’s Roof Top Bar’s to take in some holiday spirits and fantastic holiday lit views. Not sure where to go? Check out Scout’s list of here.
Y=Yelp – Now you are probably hungry after this adventurous “Merry” day so why not look at Yelp and pick a restaurant you have never tried based on the glowing Yelp reviews.
