Folklorico is a socially-conscious business offering authentic, handmade, ethically-sourced pieces from all over the world. Born from the love of travel, Heidi and Joe started Folklorico 9 years ago in Savannah, GA. Many items are sourced directly from the artisans in their country of origin. Others are purchased through Fair Trade importers. Folklorico carries a wide array of high quality handmade goods including jewelry, accessories and home decor. Every piece tells a story.

The Holidays are for slowing down and enjoying our community: Let’s get to know some fun facts about Heidi Berkley, co-owner of Folklorico before we get to the gifts.

Store we visit often: Can we say Johnnie Ganem’s? Actually it would have to be E. Shaver Booksellers. Great book store with a helpful staff and cats.
On the weekends you’ll find us: In the store! We’re a true mom & pop and are open 7 days a week for much of the year. We keep our sanity by taking epic vacation/buying trips for the store.
Favorite way to relax: We alternate with friends in our bubble hosting dinner and watching obscure films.
Guilty pleasure: Scrolling the internet looking at real estate abroad.
Favorite Savannah Holiday tradition: Decorating our house and baking holiday treats.
Crowd Pleaser: Zulu telephone wire baskets. A traditional basket weave from South Africa with a modern twist. A colorful, Fair Trade work of art.
What Every Significant Other Really Wants: A wide array of scarves for women and men. Choose from silk, cotton, or wool. A variety of styles, colors, and patterns available.
Buy Multiples of This For Everyone You Know: Household tin products from Madagascar are recycled into tiny vehicles and ornaments like jets, VW Bugs, trains, boats, jeeps.
Stocking Stuffer: Long strike matches in fun boxes.
A Splurge But Worth It: Exquisite earrings and necklaces made from precious and semi precious stones by one of our favorite jewelry artists.
