Savannah State University’s Visual and Performing Arts Program in collaboration with Telfair Museums’ Jepson Center is pleased to present a Senior Thesis Dance Performance featuring, Zhakyra Nelson. The performance will be live and part of Telfair’s Family Day, Saturday, April 23, 2022 in the Neises Auditorium, located in the Jepson Center.

41st SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival, April 23rd
Channel your creativity with bold works of imagination at the 41st annual SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival. During this treasured tradition, SCAD students, alumni, and local high school students claim their concrete canvases and transform Savannah’s most famous park into a colorful landscape for a chance to win coveted prizes. Community members can witness the spectacular chalk-art displays and savor the delicious food and music of the city.

Bug Fest 2022 at Savannah Children’s Museum, April 23rd-10:00am-1:00pm
Bug Fest, the annual family-friendly celebration buzzing with bug-themed crafts, activities and workshops. The event will be held Saturday, April 23 rd from 10 am to 1 pm at Savannah Children’s Museum, 655 Louisville Rd. Savannah, GA 31401. Admission to Bug Fest is included in the cost of regular admission to Savannah Children’s Museum, $10 for all guests 18 months and older. This event is FREE for Coastal Heritage Society members.

Make life magical with a fun and shimmery Glamour Magic Workshop led by Nykos Fox from @witchandwand! Make your own Magical Mermaid Mist, Pixie Powder, and Love Spell Oil. In this workshop they will do a ritual to let go of negativity and there will be a brief introduction to glamour magic. They will then make three magical items for use in our own glamour magic! They’ll go over how to use your new magical items and some fantastic, custom spells. You will leave with three items you’ve created for your own glamour magic: Magical Mermaid Mist, Pixie Powder, and a Love Spell Ritual Oil along with custom spells for each item. $50.00

Join them for a 60 minute mindful flow where they will focus on breath linked with movement surrounded by natural air purifiers. This workshop is from 6:30pm to 8pm and the cost is $20. There will be time to purchase a plant or 2 for yourself along with complimentary refreshments after class. Class size is limited to 12 to keep within COVID safety precautions. All that is needed is a mat and an open mind.
