Guided Wine Tasting Experience at 208 Wine Bar, August 6th-12:00pm-2:00pm

This experience is meant to be a fun and educational introduction to tasting wine. As with everything at 208, their focus is more on the enjoyment than the memorization of facts about wine. During the tasting you will experience 5-7 wines from around the world. Their goal is to challenge your preset ideas about wine and help you get more fun and pleasure from your wine drinking. Cost is $75pp and gourmet charcuterie is included. Advance registration required.

Paddleboarding and Yoga on Little Tybee, August 6th-8:00am

Join East Coast Paddleboarding and Tybee Yoga and Healing Arts on August 6th at 8:00 AM for a lesson and paddle to Little Tybee followed by a beginner friendly Yoga session on the Beach!
Cost is $80 and includes paddleboard rental, guided paddle to either the sandbar or Little Tybee and we provide a tapestry for yoga on the sand and an aromatherapy cloth for savasana.
If you’d like to join us please send East Coast Paddleboarding a private message! Or Email Tybeeyoga@outlook.com or info@Eastcoastpaddleboarding.com. Park at any of the South Island parking lots. (19th, Chatham or Inlet Ave) We will meet on the beach in front of Inlet Ave. In this 2 1/2 hour tour participants will learn the basics of paddleboarding: gear overview, paddle stroke and technique, and safety precautions. We will then paddle to the Little Tybee where we will have a tranquil and beautiful beach yoga session. Depending on the weather, tides and energy-level of our group, we may stop at the Sandbar to do yoga instead. Please remember to bring a towel, some water and please don’t forget to apply sunscreen before our journey and reapply often. Wear a hat and/or sunglasses and clothing that you can move around in and don’t mind getting wet.

Georgia’s First 4th at Wormsloe, August 6th-10:00am-3:30pm

Did you know that the Declaration of Independence did not make its way to Savannah until August? Hear the reading of the Declaration of Independence as it was read in 1776. Participate in the debate to declare independence. Are you loyal to the English King or will you join the Patriot cause? Program start at the Visitor Center being at 10 am and repeat at 2 pm. Admission: $2 – $1

Join a naturalist on a 2-mile hike through the marsh along the Sandpiper and Avian Loop trails to discover how wetlands play a role in protecting our environment. Meet at the trailhead for the Sandpiper Trail.
