New Cooking Classes Celebrate International Flavors – August 6th
Explore the bold flavors and rich palates of Southeast Asia. This interactive class doubles as a culinary tour and invites guests to recreate some of the region’s most fragrant and sumptuous dishes. Class menu items include Shoya Ramen, Chinese Pork Dumplings, Korean Bibimbap, Vietnamese Basil Rolls and Thai-Style Chicken with Massaman Curry. 700 Kitchen Cooking School’s Chef Jason Winn says “We’re delighted to continue to expand our class offerings and to showcase dishes from Southeast Asia, South America and the Caribbean islands for cooks of all skill levels to enjoy, in addition to an exciting new plant-based cooking class.“ Over the past several months, enrollment in our interactive cooking classes have skyrocketed. We wanted to develop a selection of compelling new classes to meet the varied interests of our guests.” Classes at the 700 Kitchen Cooking School are all-inclusive, providing guests with the necessary ingredients, equipment and guidance to prepare, sample and enjoy delicious dishes. Each cooking class is limited to 16 guests and priced at $99 per person.

Family Concert with Jennifer Daniels at Tybee Post Theater, August 7th-10:30am
Perfect for kids, this toe-tapping and energetic show will give your entire family infectious joy and boundless energy. Jennifer Daniels’ family concerts are full of interactive songs, stories, and organized movement meant for kids newborn – third grade. As an assistant to beloved kids’ author Eric Litwin (original author of Pete the Cat picture books), Jenn will use the guitar, ukulele and picture books to get kids singing and dancing and excited about reading. An award-winning writer and performer out of Lookout Mountain, GA, Jennifer Daniels delivers rich concert experiences full of laughter and friendly banter. $10 kids and $12 adults.

All About The Beehive with Camp Arnold – Sunday, August 8th – 10am-12:00pm
Are you interested in becoming a backyard beekeeper but feel overwhelmed by all the information to go along with keeping bees healthy and hives thriving? Or do you have bees but wish you knew more about how to maintain the hives to keep your bees more healthy? This class is for you! This class is approximately 2 hours long and geared for people who are interested in learning about beekeeping and how to get started with an emphasis on the Hive. Camp Arnold of Beaufort Bees will be discussing the hive, the parts of the hives, the different types of hives, how to maintain and clean hives and what kind of hive is right for your beekeeping journey! This will be the first class in a series of beekeeping classes the camp will be offering through the end of 2021 to make sure that you are geared up and ready to welcome hives to your home in the beginning of 2022! $100 Preregistration or $125 for walkups per person if there is space.

Savannah: Special guests Michelle Meece (Savannah Theatre) and Ricardo Ochoa (Velvet Caravan) will headline the next entry in Savannah Rep’s acclaimed “Concerts on Broughton” series – ONCE: IN CONCERT, an evening of music from the 2012 Tony winner for Best Musical. Host Chris Bass (Savannah Performance Alliance), Music Director Assaf Gleizner, and Actor-Musicians Ryan McCurdy and Chris Stanley will round out the ensemble bringing songs like Academy Award winner “Falling Slowly,” “Gold,” and “Leave” to life.
