Eat Drink & Be Giving to benefit Greenbriar Children’s Center and DUETkids.org, December 9th 6:00pm-8:00pm
Please join them for holiday cocktails, canapes, and carols to benefit Greenbriar Children’s Center and DUETkids.org from 6-8 pm on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 920 East Victory Drive in Savannah, GA. Piano performances, Christmas carols, and a silent auction in seasonal decorated, historic southern mansion to benefit musical education and other programs for children who are at risk, underserved, DFACs, homeless and low income families in Savannah. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased here.

SMF Jazz Academy Fall Concert, December 10th-7:00pm
Featuring five jazz combos and two melodica ensembles, students in Savannah’s only free after-school jazz program will present a program featuring a diverse selection of music from the jazz tradition. Repertoire will include traditional New Orleans tunes and the music of early jazz composers such as Lovie Austin and Fats Waller, as well as, songs from mid-century jazz giants like John Coltrane and Mary Lou Williams. Students have spent the fall in weekly rehearsals and lessons learning about jazz history, style and performance, as well as honing their individual instrumental skills. SMF Jazz Academy accepts students from all levels, so please join us in celebrating our students as they begin their journey into this amazing music! This is a free event held at the Savannah Cultural Arts Center.

Every December, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis presents this Grammy Award–winning holiday extravaganza. With soulful big band arrangements of songs both sacred and secular, Big Band Holidays is an uplifting tradition enjoyed by audiences of all ages and backgrounds. In addition to some swinging JLCO instrumentals, virtuosic vocalist Alita Moses joins the band for imaginative new versions of classics like “White Christmas” and “Merry Christmas, Baby.” Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year alongside your fellow music lovers at matinee and evening performances. A Lighthouse Christmas by The Tybee Island Historical Society, December 11th-6:30pm, 7:30pm, 8:30pm
The Tybee Island Historical Society would like to invite you to enjoy a 1930s Christmas with the Lighthouse Keeper and his family. Included in your admission is a rare nighttime climb to the top of the lighthouse, a tour of the Head Keeper’s Cottage, a performance by local carolers, and a cup of hot cider.
