Plant Riverside District to Host Savannah Stars and Stripes, July 1st-July 4th (times vary)
The four-day event will offer free live music and performances by Cirque Divina, mini golf, and food and drink options for all ages. Plant Riverside District will sponsor the annual Savannah’s Waterfront Independence Day Fireworks Show, which will light up the sky over the Savannah River on Monday, July 4 at 9:15 p.m.
“We invite Savannah residents and visitors to join us at Plant Riverside District for a patriotic, family-friendly Fourth of July celebration,” said Richard C. Kessler, Chairman and CEO of The Kessler Collection. “We’re delighted to host a four-day Independence Day event and can’t wait to see the fireworks show on July 4th.”

The “I Pledge” Project at Leopold’s Ice Cream, July 1st-4:00pm-7:00pm
“I Pledge” rewards children 12 and under for reciting the Pledge of Allegiance from memory—with a free ice cream cone. The campaign, launched by Leopold’s Ice Cream on a local level in Savannah last summer, received the highest award in 2010 from the National Dipper at the National Ice Cream Retailers Association Convention. The national event is planned for July 1st, from 4:00-7:00 PM. Participating stores across America will be featured on the project’s web site: www.ipledgeforicecream.com

Holiday Weekend Hangs on DeSoto Avenue, July 2nd-3:00pm-9:00pm
Here’s something they’re really excited about! Their buds Fon x Won will be back serving on De Soto Ave during their Holiday Weekend Hangs on Saturday, July 2nd. They’ll have the usual De Soto block party treats: cold beer, slushies, seltzies…. But will be adding a few vendors to the line-up as well. More details about that soon. July 4th Fireworks at The Pier on Tybee Island, July 4th-9:00pm
Tybee’s annual celebration of America’s birthday. Independence day fireworks start between 9PM and 9:30 pm. The show is staged on the pier but is easily viewed from any of Tybee Island’s eastern beaches.
