Oktoberfest at Moon River Brewing, September 24th – September 26 – 11:00am-Midnight

Join Moon River Brewing at 21 W. Bay Street in the beer garden for Oktoberfest 2021. Beer and food specials all weekend long including bratwurst with sauerkraut, pretzels with beer cheese, German potato salad and featuring their Savannah Festbier and other seasonal brews. Plus free house-made spent grain dog treats will be available and complimentary 12oz house brew if dressed in authentic Bavarian attire.

Saints & Sinners on the Half Shell, September 24th – 6:00pm-9:00pm

You are invited to join Hospice Savannah Foundation for what is sure to be one of the most talked about events of the year! Saints & Sinners will be a whimsical look at 100 of Savannah’s leaders, risk-takers and beloved characters. Portraits hand-painted on oyster shells by local artist, Shelley Smith, will be displayed and available for purchase. Guests will enjoy a festive party with a DJ and special Saints & Sinners cocktails. All proceeds will benefit Full Circle Grief and Loss Center, which provides Hospice Savannah’s bereavement counseling free to the community, as well as, supporting their healing arts programs of massage therapy, music therapy and story keeping. All of the oyster shell portraits will be available for purchase through a silent auction produced by Location Gallery. Tickets are $40.

Fungus is Among Us with Whippoorwill Farms, September 24th – 11:00am-12:00pm

Join them for a special tour of workshop exploring mushrooms and all the places they surround us. Together you will read the story Fungus is Among Us, mushroom discovery walk through the forest and finish out their class with a delicious mushroom magic pizza. $20 a family special. Door Pay accepted, $30. You are invited to pack a lunch and stay a while at one of Marissa’s many picnic tables.

Plant Riverside Oktoberfest, September 25th-October 31st-Events & Times Vary

“Plant Riverside looks forward to celebrating Oktoberfest at Plant Riverside District with a blend of old and new traditions,” said Richard C. Kessler, Chairman and CEO of The Kessler Collection. “We warmly invite local residents and guests to join us at Savannah’s Entertainment District for a festive outdoor Oktoberfest event.” On Saturdays from 1-4 p.m., the Pavilion Tent along the riverfront at Plant Riverside District will feature free live music as well as free keg bowling, bratwurst eating contests and stein holding competitions. Bob and the Polka Dots will perform traditional polka music at the Pavilion Tent from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, October 3; Saturday, October 9; and Sunday, October 31. In addition, the Pavilion Tent at Plant Riverside District will feature free live music on Friday and Saturday evenings from 7 to 10 p.m., showcasing the Eric Culberson Band, Lyn Avenue, Draucker, Nickel Bag of Funk and other talented local and regional artists. Bob Taylor will perform live at the Biergarten on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. Throughout Oktoberfest, 14 exceptional restaurants at Plant Riverside District will offer a range of food and drink specials.

OktoBEERFest at Coastal Empire Brewing, September 25th-4:00pm – 7:00pm

Coastal Empire Brewing be hosting their annual Oktoberfest and they have been working on some new brews just for this event. They will be grilling up some beer brauts, along with other tasty goodies, there will be a casking release as well and fun beer games for prizes. Remember to dress up and your first pint is free. Also, prizes for best costume. So, come join them for a fun day of food, music, and great beers. Prost.

Kitchen Table Medicine Workshop at The Circle, September 25th – 4:00pm

Kosmic Evolution, NSFW DJ Collective & Moonstoned Events are happy to announce the next mini-festival in Savannah, GA! Neon Nostalgia is a 90’s throwback event showcasing the best local vendors, DJs and artists to create a unique experience of expression. Join them for a neon night under the stars on Sept. 25th from 2-11pm. The event is being held at 3 Points Food Court and $15 tickets can be purchased here. Check out the dance floor or take a stroll through the vendor village. There will be a food truck on-site all night!

Permaculture 101, September 26th – 10:00am-12:00pm

This class is 2 hours long and is geared toward beginning environmental enthusiasts interested in learning more about permaculture, what it means and how to create permaculture spaces in your own home. But more so even than creating the spaces, you’ll be talking about the why of permaculture and the impact permaculture can have on your land or even little piece of suburbia. You will discuss different methods and principles involved in permaculture and small steps to take in getting started. They’ll also discuss local resources and places to find necessary items at the best cost.  You’ll learn about different seasons for planting in the Lowcountry and when it’s best for planting different vegetables. $75 per person or $100 walk up if there is space left
