In the ongoing monthly series, What’s New Savannah, Scout will be highlighting the growth of our great city. We will welcome recently opened restaurants, watering holes and shops as well as other hot spots to encourage you to explore what’s happening around town. In the month of May, we will list some business that have technically opened in March or April but due to the stay-at-home guideline may have just been open for a short period.

Description: With a love of local food and the Savannah community, Katie and Mark have turned their hard work and passion into baguettes and rye loafs, homemade pop-tarts and fig & brie croissants, chocolate peanut butter crackers, and sheets and sheets (and sheets) of butter-stained recipes.
Hours: Tues, Friday, Sunday from 8:00am-3:00pm

Description: Hand muddled Latin American drinks & bites. Enjoy Savannah’s best Mojitos made with tons of Mint & Love.
Hours: As of 5/1 they were not reopened due to the guidelines but please stop by or like them on Facebook to be the first to grab a strawberry mojito
Shuga Girl Eatery-Added Food Service
36 Barnard Street
Description: This sophisticated eatery offers counter service dishing up fresh and hot prepared food, specialty crepes, pastries, designer espressos, chef’s selection of health conscious grab n go items, cold pressed juices, and bubble tea.
Hours: Daily 10:00am-3:00pm
Safety Guidelines: They will be implementing social distancing by offering spaced seating with tables 6 feet apart. They will be taking reservations. To ensure the safety of their guests, they recommend you call and make reservations in advance (912-438-6656) so the lobby does not become crowded. Curbside pick up and delivery orders are welcome.
621 Drayton Street
Description: A popular restaurant group, Southern Cross Hospitality, opened the restaurant in the middle of the park. They also own the Collins Quarter on Bull Street, The Fitzroy and the Deck on Tybee. With lots of indoor and outdoor seating, it’s a place the whole family can enjoy. There’s a brand new menu and they have a take out window that’ll be open for coffee and pastries at 7 a.m.
