Camp looks different in 2020, yet there are still opportunities for children to learn and grow. Here’s a couple activities still available for the kiddos this summer, but they are coming up fast so enroll today.
Does your child love to create?! Do they dream of sewing and making artisan crafts? Candace, owner of Moss & Marsh and textile designer, is excited to host the first Textile Arts Camp at the Love Lane Rainbow House. In this camp, students will learn a variety of fabric design methods and create a finished project each day. At the end of the week, they will get to take home their own mini sewing machine, tapestry loom, and projects. There will be a gallery reception Friday evening for friends and family to view their creations!
June 29-July 3, 10 am-3 pm, ages 7-18. Cost is $325 and all materials are included in the price of the camp. Campers should bring their own lunch. Only 10 spots available. Email Candace at firstname.lastname@example.org for questions.
If your child is more active and loves to get outdoors, maybe soccer camp is right for them. Registration for Soccer Summer Camps now open! There are camps for all skill levels and age groups.
Camp enrollment is open to young artists aged 4-14, and runs Monday to Friday from 9 am to noon. In accordance with guidance from the CDC, Scribble Art Studio is limiting their summer class sizes to 8 students and observing social distancing. Their camp will guide budding artists through the creation of personalized art projects centered around different themes each day. Join us for mornings this summer to explore fun new ways of creating art. $200 and you can enroll your little Picasso right on the website.
Most classes are staring in the next couple of weeks, so check out Benedictine’s website for enrollment. They are offering basketball, robotics, quarterback training, cheer camp, linebacker camp, soccer, study skills, baseball and more. Prices, dates and times vary per class.

ECP’s National Surf Schools & Instructors Association internationally certified Stand Up Paddleboard Instructors will teach kids water safety, balance, paddling technique, steering, and respect for the ocean and coastal environment. During this camp we will paddle in flat water, play games to develop skills for paddling, and play in small waves. We supply the stand up paddleboards, leashes and paddles. The cost is $220 and and is Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 11:30am. Sign up on their website.
The Golf Swing Studio will host a teen (between 12 and 16 years) only summer camp on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, June 23 – 25, 2020. The camp is designed for beginners or teens who have played golf but not in tournaments. This camp will teach the basics in a fun and interactive way that engages teens with technology.
